In October of 2024 I finally got to dip my toes into what felt like a propper bike tour for the first time. Earlier that summer I had done a one night trip from my house in West Hartford CT to a site in Massachusetts, short but enough to build confidence in setup and understand the gaps that needed filling.

This trip was to be 5 days long, starting in St. Albans City Vermont and doing a loop through the Quebec country side to Montreal, then heading back through the islands of lake Champlain to return to the start point. Most nights were camping with the exception of a night in the city staying at a hostel.
